India has launched the sixth round of its Open Acreage Licensing Policy (OALP), offering 21 oil and gas blocks to potential investors.
Bidding opened on 6 August and the deadline is 6 October. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, companies are allowed to submit documents electronically.
The government, which expects to award the blocks this year, hopes that OALP-6 will "generate immediate exploration work commitments of around $300 million to $400 million".
