India’s state-controlled Oil & Natural gas Corporation (ONGC) on Tuesday announced a key oil and gas discovery in its prolific deep-water Block KG-DWN-98/2, off the country’s eastern coast.

The Indian giant, while announcing its results for the first financial quarter, said it has made an oil and gas discovery in the Cluster-2 region of the KG-DWN-98/2 block in the gas-rich Krishna Godavari basin.
