The co-owners of the Mako gas discovery off Indonesia have reported a 79% increase in best estimate gas resources following a recent appraisal drilling campaign.

The gross best estimate contingent resource is now an estimated 493 billion cubic feet of recoverable raw gas, an increase of 79% on the pre appraisal estimate of 276 Bcf.

Project co-owner Coro Energy said it may now be possible to achieve a plateau production rate of 150 million cubic feet per day of gas during the development phase, compared to the previously modelled 44 MMcfd.
