Indonesian independent Energi Mega Persada (EMP) has ambitious plans to increase reserves and boost production at the Sengkang block in South Sulawesi, following its purchase of a significant stake in the onshore asset.
EMP said it would spend the “necessary fund” to develop the Sengkang production sharing contract. Its proposed activities include geological studies, the acquisition of 800 line kilometres of 2D seismic and 100 square kilometres of 3D seismic, and the drilling of 13 exploration wells.
“We are convinced the Sengkang PSC has good prospects.
