Australian junior Melbana Energy has started a two well exploration programme in Cuba in partnership with Angolan state-run company Sonangol.
Melbana confirmed on Tuesday that drilling of the Almeda-1 exploration well commenced the previous day on the Block 9 production sharing contract.
