Panoro Energy is looking to boost output from its Guebiba oilfield onshore Tunisia after hitting a “significant” pay zone with the first well drilled in five years in the licence area.
The Gue-10AST sidetrack well encountered two separate commercial oil-bearing zones after being drilled at the field in the Thyna Production Services (TPS) concession.
The probe hit a “significant oil-bearing upper reservoir interval” in the Douleb formation that represents “an extremely attractive future development opportunity”, Oslo-listed Panoro said in a statement.
