Malaysia’s national upstream company Petronas Carigali is performing marine geohazards survey over four planned exploration targets offshore Sarawak, East Malaysia.

Petronas Carigali is progressing work for the Angus-1, Pangkin-1, Besah-1 and Saderi Deep-1 wildcats – a quartet of key probes the operator has lined up in domestic waters.

The Malaysia-flagged Salvin Explorer has been chartered for the geophysical survey work, which commenced late last week.

The marine geohazards survey, which is expected to be completed around 20 July, will also cover some of Petronas Carigali’s existing facilities offshore Sarawak such as the Tanjung Baram (TBPP-A) platform, the BODP-E platform on the Bokor field and the M1DR-A platform on the M1 field.
