Thailand’s national upstream company PTTEP is preparing for a key 2022 drilling campaign offshore Malaysia that will include drilling a wildcat on a prospect that offers synergistic tie-back potential to its Lang Lebah giant gas field and an appraisal of a 2021 sweet gas discovery.

On PTTEP’s drilling hitlist is the Paprika-1 exploration well on Block SK 410B, which the operator has identified as a potential satellite tie-back to its nearby under-development Lang Lebah field, which hosts 5 trillion cubic feet of gas in place.
