Oslo-based DNO has made a significant gas condensate discovery offshore Norway that could hold recoverable resources of up to 130 million barrels of oil equivalent in a new geological play.
Drilled in Production Licence 984 in the Norwegian North Sea, the Norma discovery lies close to existing infrastructure so its development should be straightforward.
Initial assessments of the discovery, said DNO, suggest Norma contains recoverable resources ranging from 25 million to 130 million boe, with a mean estimate of 70 million boe.
