France's Total and Austria's OMV have completed a deal with Spain’s Repsol for the acquisition of the Han-Asparuh offshore exploration block in Bulgaria’s Black Sea waters.

The project partners are already processing recently acquired 3D seismic, looking to set up future exploration activities, according to OMV’s regional arm Petrom.

Under the finalised deal, the Bulgarian regulator approved the allocation of Repsol's 30% participating interest to the remaining two partners.
