Aker Solutions has been awarded what it describes as a sizeable contract by TotalEnergies to provide the subsea production system for the $1 billion Lapa South West development in Brazil’s Santos basin.

The development concept is a 12-kilometre subsea tie-back from three wells to the Cidade de Caraguatatuba floating production, storage and offloading vessel, using existing facilities and infrastructure, the Norwegian contractor noted.

The contract covers a subsea production system including up to three subsea trees and control systems, tie-in, structures and subsea umbilicals, as well as associated equipment and installation work.
