Agogo project partner Sinopec is close to finalising an oil and gas resource evaluation of the Eni-operated scheme’s full-field development offshore Angola, ahead of an expected project sanction later this year.

Upstream recently reported that Malaysian players Bumi Armada and Yinson as well as Italy’s Saipem were bidding for the right to provide a floating production, storage and offloading vessel that will be able to produce 120,000 barrels per day of oil and store about 1.6 million barrels for the full-field development — Agogo’s second development phase.
