BHP has approved the capital expenditure for its Shenzi North subsea tie-in project in the US Gulf of Mexico, and for the Trion oilfield’s front-end engineering and design phase.
The Australian resources giant said $544 million has been allocated to Shenzi North in the US Gulf and $258 million to move the Trion deep-water project off Mexico into FEED.
