Italy's Eni has started production from its 250 million barrel Cuica field offshore Angola, just four months after drilling the discovery well in Block 15/06.

The operator said that oil started flowing on 30 July from Cuica to its Armada Olombendo floating production, storage and offloading vessel.

Cuica is located in a water depth of 500 metres, just three kilometres from the Armada Olombendo FPSO.
