Chariot Oil & Gas is looking to possibly develop its Anchois gas discovery off Morocco as a subsea tie-back to shore following positive results from technical and commercial studies.
The find in Chariot’s operated Lixus Offshore licence could be developed by tying subsea production wells back via a subsea manifold to an onshore central processing facility from which gas would be delivered to the local market via a flowline to the Maghreb-Europe Gas pipeline, according to the London-listed player.
Chariot may now re-enter the suspended Anchois-1 discovery well to complete it as a producer and has initiated an environmental impact assessment ahead of planned appraisal drilling work next year.
