Oslo-based environmental group Bellona has urged the Norwegian parliament to ensure that any deficiencies on the hull for the Johan Castberg floating production, storage and offloading vessel are corrected before it leaves Singapore.
In a letter to the parliament's Energy & Environment Committee seen by Upstream, Bellona urges caution to ensure that the vessel is in shape for transportation to Norway.
As reported by Upstream this week, Equinor recently took the decision to complete construction work on the hull in Norway due to manpower issues at Sembcorp Marine’s yards in Singapore.
