Norwegian oil giant Equinor is looking to apply a novel technological solution to handle the huge volumes of natural gas to be produced from the Pao de Acucar pre-salt development in Brazil’s Campos basin.

Pao de Acucar, the largest of three hydrocarbons discoveries in Block BM-C-33, had its development concept approved by Equinor and project partners Petrobras and Repsol Sinopec in March, after Brazil's Congress passed a key piece of legislation designed to create a more competitive framework for the country’s natural gas sector.
