ExxonMobil has filed a fresh plan to further exploit its 707 million-barrel Hebron oilfield offshore eastern Canada after drilling two successful delineation wells.
Located in the shallow-water Jeanne d’Arc basin offshore Newfoundland, Hebron came online in late 2017 via a huge concrete gravity-based structure (GBS) designed to deflect icebergs arriving in the area after their three-year voyage from western Greenland’s calving grounds.
