Houston-based McDermott International has confirmed its award of a sizeable offshore engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) contract for Woodside Petroleum’s Scarborough liquefied natural gas development offshore Western Australia.

Woodside announced McDermott as the key contractor for Scarborough's offshore floating production unit when it took the final investment decision last year, and the US contractor confirmed the award of the EPCIC contract on Monday.

“The integrated scope also includes the design, fabrication, integration, transportation and installation of the hull and topsides,” McDermott noted.
