US-based McDermott International has been awarded a transportation and installation contract in Brazil by indigenous player Prio, formerly PetroRio, for work on the Wahoo project.
The deal comes just a few weeks after McDermott fired the starting gun on a restructuring process to strengthen liquidity position and ensure its long-term financial health.
Under its work scope with Prio, McDermott will transport and install about 30 kilometres of coated, 10-inch, rigid pipelines and associated subsea structures.
