India’s state-controlled Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is closing in on issuing tender documents to leading offshore contractors for work on the seventh phase of its pipeline replacement project (PRP-7) off the country’s west coast.

At least two people with direct knowledge of the tender process told Upstream that ONGC is said to be finalising the tender for PRP-7 project — a key element in sustaining oil production from its offshore fields — and is expected to initiate the chase in the coming days.
