UK-headquartered TechnipFMC announced Monday the award by Brazil's Petrobras of a large subsea engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract for its Buzios-6 pre-salt project in country's Santos basin.

TechnipFMC quantifies a “large” award as being between $500 million and $1 billion.

According to the company, the contract includes flexible and rigid pipe, umbilicals, pipeline end terminals, rigid jumpers, umbilical termination assemblies and a mooring system.

The flexible pipe, umbilicals and subsea structures, along with some of the rigid pipe, will be manufactured in Brazil.
