Petrobras has for a second time postponed the date for receiving bids in a tender to provide the subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines system for a third floating production, storage and offloading unit on the Mero field in Brazil’s Santos basin.

The bid date for the Mero-3 SURF package has moved to 18 January from a previous date of 22 December, industry sources told Upstream.

Subsea players including UK-based TechnipFMC, Oslo-listed Subsea 7, Italy’s Saipem, Allseas of Switzerland, US-based McDermott International and Malaysia's Sapura Energy are competing for the deal.
