Spanish operator Repsol has been given approval for its planned development of the Kaliberau field, in the Sakakemang production sharing contract, in South Sumatra.

Regulator SKK Migas confirmed last week the Indonesian government had approved Repsol’s first plan of development for the Kali Berau Dalam (KBD) gas discovery.

The $359 million development will see Repsol re-enter the KBD-2XST1 well, to complete it as a production well, drill another production and infill well, as well as construct the facilities, including a flowline to the existing Grissik Central gas plant.
