Woodside Petroleum said it has launched a formal sell-down process for part of its equity in the Scarborough and Pluto Train 2 assets in Australia, and is reviewing its contractors' costs in the lead-up to a final investment decision.

The Scarborough project will have the potential to produce 8 million tonnes per annum of LNG, while the Pluto 2 project will be a new LNG train with capacity for 5 mtpa; the balance will be processed through the existing train at Pluto and the North West Shelf LNG facility.
