Singapore's Sembcorp Marine has been awarded a contract related to the floating production, storage and offloading vessel for Santos' Dorado offshore oil project in Australia.

The company said it will perform the FPSO front-end engineering and design work on behalf of Altera Infrastructure, which is the main FPSO contractor for Dorado.

The FEED work is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2022. Sembcorp Marine said this is the group's "third EPC project in collaboration with Altera Infrastructure" following the successful delivery of FPSO Pioneiro de Libra in 2017 and FPSO Petrojarl Cidade de Itajaiin in 2012.
