Oslo-listed oilfield services provider Subsea 7 has been awarded a “sizeable contract” by US supermajor Chevron for the development of the Ballymore project in the US Gulf of Mexico.
The project covers the installation of a steel catenary riser, flowline and control system, and Subsea 7 also supported Chevron with early engineering before the award, according to the company.
Subsea 7 defines a sizeable contract as being between $50 million and $150 million.
“The Ballymore project is an excellent example of how we continue to build on our collaborative engagement with Chevron,” Subsea 7 US vice president Craig Broussard said.
