TotalEnergies and its project partners will not resume development of the ultra-deep water A-6 gas project offshore Myanmar until human rights conditions improve following a military coup in February.

The operator stopped the drilling operations and decommissioned the drilling rig and also suspended some payments from a gas joint venture that could have reached the junta.
