Oslo-based independent Aker BP, fresh from completing the acquisition of Lundin Energy’s oil and gas assets, has launched a decarbonisation plan to be net-zero across all operations by 2030 while simultaneously advancing plans for additional net production of about 900 million barrels of oil equivalent.

In reporting its second quarter 2022 results, the company made an operating profit of US$1.1 billion and net profit of US$188 million.
