After seeing an increase in orders and revenue in the second quarter, US-based oilfield services giant Baker Hughes is expecting a continued upward trend into 2022.

During the company’s quarterly earnings call on 21 July, chief executive Lorenzo Simonelli struck a positive tone.

“As we look to the second half of 2021 and into 2022, we see continued signs of global economic recovery that should drive further demand growth for oil and natural gas,” he said.
