The embattled fabrication major Sembcorp Marine has warned that its second-half 2021 financial results could potentially be in line with its huge first-half loss due to the coronavirus-related impacts on its ability to perform.

On 29 July, the company reported a first-half net loss of S$647 million (US$481 million) and indicated it would continue to face uncertainties due to Covid-19 measures on border controls, workforce supply and quarantine restraints.
