ExxonMobil reported earnings of $8.87 billion for the fourth-quarter of 2021 on Tuesday, the US supermajor’s best final quarter results since 2014 as it benefitted from surging commodity prices to rebound from big losses last year.

The results announcement comes a day after ExxonMobil said it will streamline its business structure into three categories as it looks to lead the industry in cash flow growth, operating performance and the energy transition.
