Kazakhstan state-controlled oil and gas holding KazMunaigaz reported declines on almost all of its revenue streams in the first half of this year however it was still able to churn out a positive result on the bottom line.
The company said in its consolidated financial report that revenues fell by 34% to 2.25 trillion tenge ($5.6 billion) between January and June against the same period of 2019.
However, net profit has been erased to almost nothing in the first half, with KazMunaigaz's bottom line reading just 21 billion tenge ($53 million) compared with 622 billion tenge a year earlier.
