Future US liquefied natural gas exporter Tellurian reported a net income of $38.2 million in the second quarter of 2022, reversing a $6.3 million loss in the same period a year ago, driven by strong gas sales.

While Tellurian’s Driftwood LNG facility remains under construction and will not come online until 2026, the company is already producing natural gas.

Tellurian, which has $823 million of cash in hand, reported net production of 9 billion cubic feet of gas for the quarter, as it continues to expand its holdings in the Haynesville shale of Louisiana.
