UK contractor Wood posted a steep drop in revenue in the first six months of this year due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the oil and gas industry, but activity picked up in the second quarter.

The London-listed company clocked up revenue of around $3.2 billion in the six months to the end of June, down 21% from the comparable period a year earlier, with Wood blaming the impact of Covid-19 on the fall.
