Aberdeen-headquartered oilfield engineering services giant Wood posted a 14.1% a fall in first-half earnings on Tuesday but said it is looking forward to a stronger second half of the year, although full-year revenues still look set to be lower than last year.

Earnings before interest tax depreciation and amortisation were $262 million in the six months to 30 June, down from $305 million in the same period a year ago.
