Argentine state-owned oil company YPF has won support from the majority of its bondholders and looks set to avoid a short-term default.

YPF swapped 59.79% of the $413 million bond offer due to expire in March. The company also received backing from 43.13% of creditors to exchange 2024 notes and 37.15% of holders of securities maturing in March 2025.
