A variety of offshore field developments from mega to minor are under way in Australia as field owners try to seize liquefied natural gas and domestic gas market opportunities.
It is not just a gas story either. Santos has a treasure chest of oil to develop at the Dorado field, which also has associated gas, while the private company Kato Energy has a portfolio of small oil discoveries to develop with a relocatable production jack-up, starting with the Amulet and Corowa fields.
