Sempra Energy is plugging away at its proposed Port Arthur liquefied natural gas export facility in Texas after collaborator Woodside said in July it would exit the US project.

The US company is continuing to pursue long-term offtake agreements with potential customers of the Port Arthur LNG facility, which recently received a notice of schedule from federal regulators that points to a 31 January 2019 completion date for a final environmental impact statement.

"Things have not skipped a beat," says Sempra LNG and Midstream chief executive Octavio Simoes.
