Ocean Floor Geophysics (OFG) has enjoyed relative anonymity since it was formed in 2007.

Largely unheralded, the Vancouver-based company has been busy supplying a range of well-regarded seabed mapping, site survey and pipeline inspection services.

OFG typically acquires data with subsea robots equipped with proprietary geophysical instrumentation, including electromagnetics, bathymetry and magnetics.

Its operations over time have focused on the search for deep-sea mineral prospects and various mapping and inspection tasks for the oil and gas industry.

Now uncharted territory beckons — along with a higher commercial profile.
