Norwegian oil and gas producer Sval Energi is perhaps the most ambitious company on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Earlier this month, the company announced it had bought Suncor Energy Norway for an undisclosed amount, adding production of 4000 barrels of oil equivalent per day — and 19 million barrels of oil equivalent in reserves — to its portfolio.

Sval Energi has roots in Solveig Gas, a significant shareholder in Norway’s Gasled transportation infrastructure partnership.

In 2019, it acquired the assets of Capricorn Norge (Cairn).
