Indications to date suggest that a 591-metre gas column is present at the triassic level over the gross interval 3436 metres to its current depth of 4027 metres, commented co-venturer Pan Pacific. Wireline logging is being performed and by this weekend the partners are expected to have decided whether to further deepen the well or begin the test programme. The testing will take approximately one to two weeks depending on the final scope, but the purpose will be to determine the reservoir's production capacity and the proportion of condensate that is produced with the gas.
