Rosneft said it has signed an agreement in principle with BP to acquire its 50% interest in TNK-BP in exchange for $17.1 billion in cash and the transfer of 12.8% of Rosneft shares held by one of its subsidiaries.
Rosneft has also agreed terms with AAR to acquire the remaining 50% interest in TNK-BP for a cash payment of $28 billion.
