Amec nails Centrica contract

UK engineering and construction giant Amec has won a £75 million ($116 million) contract from Centrica covering support services for the utility’s East Irish Sea onshore and offshore gas production assets. Amec said its scope of work includes project support, core operations and maintenance and shutdown support for a mixture of manned and unmanned offshore assets, as well as onshore gas terminals in the Morecambe Bay area.
