Downsized drilling

A new 3000hp drilling rig design is said by developer William Jacob Management to offer lower deployment costs and faster speed-to-market for upstream operations. Developed initially for a national oil company with a major presence in the Gulf of Mexico, the Modular Offshore Rig Facility (MORF) design programme was driven by that client’s need for improved cost performance across its offshore operations.
