The ROAV inspected Maersk Oil’s Gryphon FPSO in the UK North Sea.
Typically, such inspections are carried out by technicians suspended on ropes to inspect the tank structure and focus on areas of high stress such as stiffeners, brackets, bracing, webs and stringers. According to Cyberhawk, the ROAV allowed Maersk Oil to quickly and safely audit the tank to identify potential issues and efficiently plan for contact-based inspections in this and other tanks.
