Most carousels are permanently affixed to a ship, limiting the vessel to a single purpose. A couple of years ago, Aquatic saw the industry needed a modular carousel that could be easily transported around the world and installed on an available vessel of opportunity for large flexible riser and umbilical-lay operations.
