Two giants of the oil business are joining forces to push refracturing treatments for wells in US shale gas and tight oil plays but analysts say the technique is far from gaining universal acceptance, especially when companies have little money to spare.
Halliburton has signed a deal with investment group Blackrock to invest up to $500 million over the next three years in refracturing programmes.
