The HiPAP 502 system is smaller, lighter and more durable than previous versions, the company says, and is designed to support offshore service, marine survey and subsea construction vessel operations.
Kongsberg says the new system delivers 100% better angle accuracy, with improved range capability to 5000 metres. HiPAP claims an angle accuracy of 0.06 degrees, compared with the 0.12 degrees of the previous version.
