Subsea's missing link

As the offshore industry drives towards its “seabed factory” goal, the shift of operations from platform topsides to the seabed is fast gathering pace. Subsea separation and pumping of liquid and multiphase fluids are already well established, and will soon be joined by subsea gas compression and high voltage power distribution (Upstream Technology May 2013, January 2014).
